In-home Care and Support

Home is where people feel most comfortable, connected and themselves.

At Mecwacare, we provide flexible in-home care and support that helps people of all ages and abilities continue living independently and confidently in the place they know best.

Whether you’re recovering after a hospital stay, need extra help with daily tasks or are looking for ongoing support, we’ll work with you to tailor services around your needs, preferences and goals. As circumstances change, your support can change too.

We deliver a range of government-funded programs, including the Home and Community Care Program for Younger People (HACC PYP), helping people access practical support that enhances wellbeing, independence and quality of life.

If you’re under 65 and need assistance with daily living, or you’re unsure which support option is right for you, our team can help you understand your eligibility and explore the services available.

What types of services are available?

Mecwacare’s Home and Community Care Program for Younger People (HACC PYP) helps younger people access practical support to live independently and stay connected to their community.

Delivered across six locations in metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria, services may include personal care, home care, meal preparation, property maintenance, respite care and transport.

HACC PYP is available to people under 65 years of age (or under 50 for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people) who need assistance with daily living and are not eligible for the NDIS, or have not yet had their NDIS eligibility assessed.
