The Living Lens Project

We would like to invite your loved one to take part in a special project at Noel Miller Centre's Memory Support Unit called The Living Lens.

The Living Lens is a storytelling project that celebrates the lives, identities and histories of the people who call our Memory Support Unit home.

As part of the project, we will take a close-up photograph of each participating resident’s eyes. Where possible, residents will hold a photograph close to their face – one that captures a meaningful memory or moment – so that only their eyes and the chosen image are visible.

Each resident will also receive a personalised canvas featuring a small collection of meaningful photographs and a few warmly written words that reflect key moments from their life.

The portraits and canvases will be displayed throughout the Memory Support Unit, creating a welcoming environment that celebrates the unique stories of the people who live there and helps everyone who visits or works in the home get to know them a little better.

Participation is entirely voluntary. If you would like your loved one to be part of The Living Lens, please complete the enclosed consent form and return it to our Facility Manager by [DATE].

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We would be honoured to include your loved one in this project.
