As feet grow older, they can naturally develop problems. However, painful and uncomfortable feet do not necessarily have to be a normal part of ageing. These issues can often be addressed by a podiatrist.

mecwacare provides a podiatry service from its clinic at the Barry Fenton Centre in Malvern East. Regular podiatry treatment reduces aching feet, so people can enjoy walking and moving without pain. It can also prevent falls, which is especially important for people living with diabetes, who may have prominent foot-related issues.

Regular podiatry treatment assists with:

• Long nails
• Hard skin
• Corns
• Dry heels
• Pain
