Discover Nasho ’57: 98 Days at Pucka

Discover Nasho’57 :98 Days at Pucka

Captured by Warrnambool-born journalist Robert Lennox Suggett, who described himself at the time as simply “a kid with a camera”, the exhibition provides a rare and authentic insight into military life during National Service.

Rather than focusing on military operations, the photographs capture the camaraderie, friendships, humour, and everyday experiences of young men during their 98 days of intensive training in 1957, at Puckapunyal Defence Training Base.
