Mr Hood is the Chairman of the mecwacare Board, and a member of the Chief Executive Review Committee. In addition to his work at mecwacare, Mr Hood is an executive search consultant and a past Chairman of Australian Red Cross Victoria and a past member of the Board of Australian Red Cross during that time on several Board Committees. Appointed 1998.

Mr Atchison is Vice Chairman of the mecwacare board. He is also a member of the Chief Executive Review Committee and supports the Chief Executive on building development projects. Mr Atchison is a company director of a building and engineering consultancy and is a member of the Register of Engineers for Disaster Relief. Appointed 1990.

Colin Squires

Mr Squires is the Chairman of the Finance and Audit Committee of the mecwacare board. He began his career as a civil engineer and, after gaining his MBA in England, returned to Australia to pursue a career in the corporate finance sector. Mr Squires worked at Macquarie Bank, Citi National and UBS, where he was a director. Since retiring, Mr Squires has been a director of several companies, including Chairman of Oliver J Nilsen. He has also been significantly involved in the governance of Lauriston Girls' School in Armadale. Appointed 2008.

Susan Barton AM

Ms Barton is the founder and Director of the Lighthouse Foundation and is a member of the Clinical/Service Governance Committee on the mecwacare board. She was inducted into the Victorian Honour Roll for Women in 2012 and has over 20 years' experience in the not-for-profit sector. Ms Barton is co-author of Build Your Teenager’s Self-Esteem and Therapeutic Residential Care for Children and Young People. Appointed 2005.

Barry Fenton

Mr Fenton is a member of the Clinical/Service Governance Committee of the mecwacare board. He was the mayor of Malvern in 1990-91, and was previously a Stonnington Councillor and a treasurer of Malvern News Sheet. Mr Fenton is the President of U3A-City, and received the Commonwealth Government Recognition Award for Significant Contribution to the Community in 1999 and the Centenary of Federation Medal for Service to the City of Malvern in 2003. In 2013 he received the Leading Aged Services Australia (LASA) Volunteer Award for Excellence. Appointed 1984.

Susan Calwell

Ms Calwell is a member of the Clinical/Service Governance Committee of the mecwacare board.  She is a published author, company director and an Australia Day Ambassador. Appointed 2000.

Ms Coe is a member of the Finance and Audit Committee of the mecwacare board. She is a Chartered Accountant with 10 years of professional experience and, prior to her current role as tax manager for GE Australia and New Zealand, Ms Coe was a senior tax manager at KPMG. Appointed 2006.

Mrs Court is a member of the mecwacare board, and the former Chair of East African Coffee Plantations, former Director for Blueline Industries and former President of Womens Golf Victoria. She studied at the Melbourne University Conservatorium where she attained a Diploma in Music, and shows a strong interest and support in the fundraising activities of mecwacare.  Appointed 2007.

Mr McHutchison is a Director at Urban Communities Limited, the Eva Tilley Memorial Home The Barnett Foundation and the Fellowship for Indigenous Leadership.  Appointed 2013.

Elizabeth Dimitriadis

Ms Dimitriadis is a member of the mecwacare board, and is the director of health and community-services consultancy LDC Group. With 30 years in the industry, Ms Dimitriadis brings a wealth of experience in health and community services including disability and aged care; and research and evaluation.

She is also a member of the Australasian Evaluation Society and Disability Professionals Victoria. Appointed 2013.

 

 

Rachel Au

Ms Au is a member of the Finance and Audit Committee of the mecwacareboard.  Ms Au has over 15 years of experience in business strategy, transformation and improvement roles, including a current position with Telstra and previous roles with Australia Post and NAB. Ms Au brings a wealth of commercial knowledge and expertise to the governance of mecwacare.
