We opened our state-of-the-art new Aged Care facility at 1245 - 1247 Malvern Road in Malvern, Victoria, on 1 February 2010.
mecwacare Malvern will support the tremendous need in the area for high care accommodation and day care services. In times when our population is ageing and more Melburnians face decisions regarding the ongoing care for family members, this new centre provides excellent high and low care in beautifully appointed surroundings.
One of the key features of mecwacare Malvern for low-care residents is the opportunity to live in one of thirty multi-room Suites, either with a partner or friend (depending on care assessment eligibility), or simply to have some extra space. These interior-designed Suites each have an ensuite for privacy, and living areas are furnished with modern, comfortable high quality chairs and tables, beds and accessories. A kitchenette or second bathroom are part of the options available. The Centre nestles in freshly landscaped gardens by John Patrick Design.
Immaculate attention has been paid to the details to set this centre apart from the rest from high quality cotton bed linen and contoured pillows, to beautiful crockery and cutlery. Furnishings and artwork thoughout the Centre have been carfeully selected in consulation with a interior designer, to provide relaxing and elegant surroundings. The dining and lounge areas are spacious and airy, with built-in fire places, large sofas and armchairs, ideal for relaxing with friends and family. The licensed Kiosk, overlooking a sunny courtyard, serves smaller meals and snacks to share with guests.
mecwacare Malvern also offers an a la carte restaurant, with a variety of meals for residents and their guests open at weekends for Sunday brunch or Saturday afternoon tea. There is a choice of dining venues within the facility including private rooms for celebrating special functions or family gatherings.
Tours
