New Chief
In March 2007, Michele Lewis became the Chief Executive of mecwacare. Until her promotion to Chief Executive, Michele was the Director of Residential Services. Michele has spent the last nine years focused on the aged sector working for organisations such as Catholic Homes for the Elderly and Melbourne City Mission.
Ms Lewis will focus on the following priorities over the next year:
- Consolidating and evaluating mecwacare’s existing programs and practices
- Developing home care service program in Melbourne's West and North
- Building of the new residential facility on Malvern Road, Malvern
- Improving the quality of care to clients and residents within our services
- Concentrating on the development of staffing team and structures to improve our capacity to provide best practice care
Ms Lewis said "it is my intention to concentrate on what our clients needs from us and how we can capitalise on the success of the last years to deliver better service to even more people."
