Summary: From handsome hats to beautiful beads to captivating clothes, MECWA Op shops have something for everyone this Spring Carnival.
Unlike many opportunity shops, each MECWA shop has their own individual flair, stocking a specialised range of goods sought after by many customers. The Malvern shop carries a mixture of clothes for all ages with a level of intimacy emanating a boutique feel. The branded items carried here appealed to the taste of our very own stars including Kylie Minogue, Gianne Rooney and Peter Jago, all whom have visited the store in delight.
Funking up the image of the MECWA Op Shops is the Windsor store situated on Chapel Street, appealing to a somewhat younger demographic. Upon entering the store you are greeted by an enchantment of decorative arty mirrors, all of which created by the stores Manager. This particular store is known for its amazing furniture pieces, books and retro-style clothing.
The Waverley Road, East Malvern, is filled with brilliant brick-a-brack pieces amongst many other fascinating items. Known as the ‘family store’, it sees many regulars whom love a browse, select some clothes and have a chat to the friendly volunteers. Our specialty here are children’s wear, baby clothes and toys.
In preparation for the Spring carnival, all three MECWA shops have created spectacular windows filled with dresses, hats and champagne glasses and stocked up with loads of fashionable pieces.
If you want to bag-a-bargain, where there’s something for everyone, then MECWA Op Shops await!!
