General Handyman – Volunteer

A general handyman is required to assist with maintaining wheelchairs, and assisting with basic maintanance handyman tasks within our Residential Care services.

Library Volunteer

Volunteers are required to assist with setting up and maintenance of a small library at our new Residential Aged Care facility, Malvern Centre.   This volunteer role is located in the heart of Malvern.

Residential Kiosk Volunteer

We require a volunteer to manage the kiosk at the Noel Miller Centre on Tuesday's from 10am - 12pm.  Located in Glen Iris, this role has the opportunity to engage with our residents and family members, whilst ensuring they are able to purchase goods from the kiosk.

Op Shop Volunteer

Volunteers enjoy flexible hours working alongside staff to support the fundraising activities of mecwacare, attend to customer needs and requests, and attend to sales.

Social Support Volunteer – Residential/Community Services

Volunteers contribute to the residents’ enjoyment of activities, such as reading, games, walking, craft or just having a chat.

Strength Training Volunteer

The Strength Training Program assists older adults gain the health benefits of developing a strong body that will help preserve bone density and prevent falls
Volunteers work alongside and are guided by trained staff leading the Strength Training program

Planned Activity Group Volunteer

The Planned Activity Program for people with disabilities is seeking volunteers to support a range of activity programs.   These activities include social and recreational activities such as reading, games, walking, outings, music, one-to-one support, sporting games, art and craft, Volunteers will work alongside trained staff and other volunteers assisting clients to participate and enjoy the activities of the day program.

Community Transport Program

Cardiniacare located in Pakenham, Shire of Cardinia provides a volunteer transport service for frail, aged clients or people with disabilities needing assistance to their medical appointments. The transportation of clients is coordinated by the Transportation Coordinator.
