   Mr John Hood

Mr John Hood

Mr Hood is an Executive Search Consultant and a Vice Chairman of mecwacare, and Chairman of the Clinical/Service Governance Committee. He is also a member of the Chief Executive Review Committee. In addition to his work at mecwacare, Mr Hood works in the not-for-profit sector with Australian Red Cross Victoria where he is currently Chairman.  In addition he is a member of the Board of Australian Red Cross nationally. Appointed 1998.

 

  Mr John Atchison

BE (Civil)

Mr Atchison is a Company Director of a building and engineering consultancy and a Vice Chairman of mecwacare. He is also a member of the Chief Executive Review Committee and supports the Chief Executive on building development projects. Mr Atchison has many years experience in building engineering and is a Member of the Register of Engineers for Disaster Relief. Appointed 1990

 

  Colin Squires

Mr Colin Squires

BE (Hons), MBA

Mr Squires is the Chairman of the Finance and Audit Committe.He began his career as a civil engineer in Tasmania. After gaining his MBA in England, he returned to Australia to pursue a career in the corporate finance sector encompassing roles at Macquarie Bank, Citi National and UBS, where he became a Director for ten years.  Since retiring, Mr Squires has been a Director of several Companies, including Chairman of Oliver J Nilsen. He has had much involvement with the governance of Lauriston Girls' School in Victoria. Appointed 2008

 

 Mr Jorgen Elstoft

Mr Elstoft is a Management Consultant and is a member of the Finance and Audit Committee. Mr Elstoft has many years experience in the not-for-profit sector and has gained qualifications both nationally and internationally. Mr Elstoft is the Founding Partner of The Como Consulting Group. Appointed 1995

 Mr Barry Fenton 

Mr Barry Fenton



Mr Fenton is a retired Company Manager and member of the Clinical/Service Governance Committee at mecwacare. He was the Malvern Mayor during 1990-91, a Stonnington Councillor and past Treasurer of Malvern News Sheet and Fundraiser. Mr Fenton is the current President of U3A-City. He received the Commonwealth Government Recognition Award for Significant Contribution to the Community in 1999 and the Centenary of Federation Medal for Service to the City of Malvern in 2003. Appointed 1984 

  

  Virginia Rogers

Ms Virginia Rogers

Dip Commercial Law

Ms Rogers is a lawyer and currently Chairman of Prahan Market Pty Ltd and Marriott Support Services. She has been a Director of a number of other companies and held senior positions within the mining and petro-chemical sectors.  Ms Rogers has had a long involvement with local government, having been a St. Kilda  Councillor and subsequently a Commissioner for Glen Eira. She was Chairperson of the Equal Opportunity Commission of Victoria from 1994-2002.

  Ms Susan Calwell

Ms Susan Calwell


Ms Calwell is a Company Director and member of the Clinical/Service Governance Committee. She owns and operates a small chain of retail stores and is a published author. Ms Calwell currently holds the position of Chairman of the Baker Medical Research Institute Fundraising Committee. Appointed 2000

  Ms Dallas Coe

Ms Coe is a Chartered Accountant with 10 years of professional experience. She is also a member of the Finance and Audit Committee at mecwacare. Prior to her current role as Tax Manager for GE Australia and New Zealand, Ms Coe was a Senior Tax Manager at KPMG. Appointed 2006

  Ms Susan Barton AM

Ms Susan Barton AM


Ms Barton is the founder and Executive Director of the Lighthouse Foundation. She has over 21 years of experience in the not-for-profit sector and is an Ambassador of Oxford Homes. Ms Barton is also co-author of the book “21 Ways to Build Your Teenager's Self Esteem - and Enjoy Being a Parent”. Appointed 2005 

  Anne Court

Mrs Anne Court


Mrs Court is a former Chairman of East African Coffee Plantation, Director for Anvil Industries and President of the Royal Melbourne Golf Club. Her dedication to the RMGC was awarded with the Royal Melbourne Golf Pennant in 2008. She shows a strong interest and support in the fundraising activities of mecwacare. Mrs Court studied at the Melbourne University Conservatorium, where she attained a Diploma in Music. Appointed 2007

 

  marion macleod

Ms Marion Macleod
B Sc; MBA

Ms Macleod is a member of the Finance and Audit Committee and the Clinical/Service Governance Committee. She was involved with the ABC in the 1980’s and has been a Commissioner with the City of Boroondara, and a Councillor with the City of Yarra. Ms Macleod held senior Marketing and Strategic positions with Telstra Mobiles and Primus. She has had a long involvement with the CAE as a Director and Chairperson and is currently a representative on the Victorian Division of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Ms Macleod is currently a Managing Director of Core Management Solutions. Appointed 2008

    Ceri Spain

Ms Ceridwyn Spain

Ms Spain is a Senior Manager and Business Development Executive specialising in the Senior Living Sector for Retirement and Aged Care services in Australia and New Zealand.  Her general management background in new and mature housing development projects encompasses finance, operations, marketing, sales and business development.  Ms Spain has been a consultant to the retirement living sector and recently joined FKP/Aveo as the Operations Manager for Victoria and Tasmania.
