mecwacare offers short term respite care for people whose regular carer may need a break, or with short term need for increased care. Respite care is available at our Noel Miller Centre in Glen Iris, or at our new mecwacare Malvern Centre on Malvern Road, for people with a low care aged care assessment.
A care plan is agreed in advanced by the respite resident, their family and mecwacare. This agreement specifies the duration of the stay. In all instances the client and family needs are discussed before the agreement is made.
