Activities include outings, gentle exercise, entertainers, music, craft, guest speakers, quizzes and discussions. Services are delivered by professional trained, caring and approachable staff.

Strength Training
Muscle strength, bone density and balance decrease with age causing a greater likelihood of falls. This is a common cause of hospitalization for older people.
mecwacare's Strength Training program is individually designed for each participant by a qualified Fitness instructor. The program uses weights and other equipment to improve muscle strength, bone density, balance and overall fitness. For maximum benefit two one and a half hour sessions per week are recommended.
The program operates in East Malvern and Pakenham. Transport is available to those living in the local catchment area. A small charge may apply.
