On 9 May we celebrated the renaming of mecwacare Rositano House in Richmond, coinciding with the completion of extensive renovations of the facility. The residents, their family members, mecwacare staff and contractors gathered to officially re-open the facility post-refurbishment.
Family members of Maria Rositano, a generous donor for whom the facility was named, joined for an afternoon tea and tours of the updated facility.
We are extremely proud of all the work that has gone into the complete overhaul of Rositano House, and were delighted at the opportunity to show off the beautiful and functional new rooms, outdoor areas, bedrooms and bathrooms on display. Residents now have increased lounge areas (including an outdoor deck to enjoy the sun), renovated rooms and greater space for recreation and relaxation.
Special thanks to Facility Manager Maria McIntosh, Kathryn and Sharon and the full team at Rositano House for all their hard work to ensure minimal disruption to our residents during the building works. They were accommodating and generous in their time and commitment to make this a successful project.
mecwacare Rositano House is now a modern, clean and lively home for people in the Richmond community.
